Biography
James deMelo was born into a Brazilian family and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. It was there that his passion for excellence began through the avenue of bodybuilding. By his early twenties, James had become an internationally known bodybuilder. Soon after his rapid rise in the spot, James was apprehended by the Lord and committed his total life to the purpose of God. Slowly, God began calling him out of competition and into the ministry, where the effects of his pledge to Christ have been far reaching. It is James' tireless passion to see people come to Jesus, and this unending zeal for souls has taken him across America and beyond. Today, James travels extensively; his urgent challenge is to reach the world for Christ before His glorious return and to be a part of the end-time harvest. In 1998, James was involved in a horrible automobile accident, leaving him literally dead at the scene. Through a miraculous series of events, God sustained his life and restored his broken body. Within months of the accident, he was back to his calling and God's agenda. Today, he suffers no lasting effects of his injuries.
